Miguel Rodriguez has been serving since January 2007 as a Commissioner and started as a volunteer firefighter in 1982 and worked his way up to Deputy Fire Chief. and past Board President .

Fire Chief:
Dale Scott has been with the Fire Department for 37 years,  and is currently certified with the TCFP as Head of Department, both Suppression and Prevention, Advanced Firefighter, Fire Officer IV, Instructor III, Driver-Operator Pumper, Wild Land Basic Firefighter, and Incident Safety Officer. He is also certified through SFFMA as a Master Firefighter, Fire Officer IV, Instructor III, Driver-Operator Pumper, Wild Land Basic Firefighter, and Incident Safety Officer. Other certifications include NIMS 100,200,300,400,700 & 800, DSHS EMT-B and EMS instructor, Rescue International Ocean Rescue Boat Operator 1.  Chief Scott is also a graduate of the Texas Fire Chiefs Academy.

Special Recognitions:

Received the Hurricane Harvey 2017 for standing duty during the storm

Received the Medal of Valor 1986: saved six people from a fire at Portofino.

Received Firefighter of the year in 1984.

Deputy Fire Chief:
JP Hominick has been with the Fire Department 10 years,  and is currently certified with the TCFP as Fire Officer II, Instructor I, Advanced Firefighter, Driver-Operator Pumper, Wild Land Basic Firefighter and Incident Safety Officer, Rescue International Flood and Swift water Technician, and Rescue International Ocean Rescue Boat Operator 1. He is also certified through SFFMA as a Fire Officer II, Instructor I, Advanced Firefighter, Driver-Operator Pumper, Wild Land Basic Firefighter, Rescue Technician III. Certifications also include NIMS 100,200,300,400,700 & 800 and DSHS-EMR. Deputy Chief Hominick has attended year one of the Texas Fire Chiefs Academy.

Received the Hurricane Harvey 2017 for standing duty during the storm

Received the Medal of Gallantry March 18, 2015-saved one man from an overturned boat in the Gulf of Mexico in four-foot seas.

Received the Medal of Gallantry March 10, 2015-saved two people in the Oso Creek.

Received the Medal of Gallantry March 8 2015-saved three people in Corpus Christi Bay in four foot seas.

Received the Medal of Gallantry May 27, 2015-rescued two from a gas well in the Humble Channel.

Received the Medal of Valor July 16,2014-saved a lady from a mobile home fire.

Wes Beseda has been with the Fire Department for 10 years, and is currently certified through TCFP as Fire Officer I, Instructor I, Advanced Firefighter, Driver-Operator Pumper, Wild Land Basic Firefighter and Incident Safety Officer. Brandon Sekula Is currently certified with the TCFP as a intermediate firefighter, instructor I Fire Officer I  & Driver- Operator. He is also certified through DSHS as an EMT-LP. Certifications also include NIMS 100,200,300,400,700 & 800, and Rescue International Flood and Swift water Technician. He joined our ESD in November 2016

Christopher Burkardt  joined the Fire Department 2018 in is currently certified with the TCFP  Basic Firefighter, and Rescue Technician III.Certifications also include NIMS 100,200,700 & 800, Rescue International Flood and Swift water Technician, Rescue International Ocean Rescue Boat Operator 1, and DSHS EMT-B.

Matthew King joined our team in 2019 and is currently certified with the TCFP as a Basic Firefighter,Driver- Operator, Aircraft Rescue , Haz Mat Tech and Rescue Technician III. Certifications also include,  DSHS EMT-B and NIMS 100,200,700,800,808.

Captain/EMT-P

Brandon Peterson  joined the Fire Department in 2018 and is currently certified as a EMT-Paramedic, Advanced Firefighter, Instructor II, Fire Officer I, Arson Investigator, Fire Inspector, Driver Operator and Peace Officer. .

Special Recognition:

Medal Gallantry November 13, 2018 water rescue Corpus Christi Bay rescued two people. Then a few hours later he rescue two more people from the Humble Channel.

Lifetime Member:

Joe Dees served in many areas of the Department, from Training Officer to Maintenance Officer, Assistant Fire Chief, and Fire Chief. Even though Joehas retired from the Department, to this day he is only a phone call away and is always willing to help.
